My Story
Chloe Frances
Founder.
Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher. Massage Therapist.
Hello, I’m Chloe. Welcome to my page.
I’m a yoga teacher, massage therapist and forever student, born and raised in Manchester and trying to create community, connection and understanding for the people of and around my hometown in South Manchester.
I’ve had a love for travel and freedom from a young age which led me to study French and Business Studies at The University of Liverpool. After graduating in 2016, like most of my peers, I felt lost, uncertain and had no clear career path. Naturally, I moved back to Manchester to live with my parents and started my first full-time corporate role in a highly competitive, consumerist, stressful environment. At just 24, I felt a deep sense of dissatisfaction and a longing for connection, which brought me to Rishikesh in India. Here I learnt yoga on a deeper level than I ever imagined and really started my passion of a lifetime.
On this page you can find information about myself and my yoga journey, along with all my upcoming classes, events and workshops. You can see how you could bring wellness into your workplace, your community or just your day. And you can be a part of this journey as we grow, evolve and change together.
Background and learning
Rishikesh, India 2018
Although I have been practicing Yoga since the age of 16 (with my first class being at Stretford leisure centre!) it was here, in Rishikesh, that I really discovered what Yoga is, and started to find what it was I felt I’d been missing for a long time. I completed my 200hr YTT at a traditional Indian yoga school. Learning not just the physical side of yoga (asanas and anatomy) but also the powers of meditation, pranayama and yogic philosophy.
Why Yoga?
Yoga and Connection
Through studying and practicing yoga I developed a deeper connection with myself along with the natural world around me, understanding that we are part, not separate from it. I started to find understanding and meaning in the things that were happening around me and I started to see myself as part of a whole.
Returning Home
Manchester 2018- present
In the Spring of 2018 I returned to my hometown of Manchester with a renewed vigour for life, a feeling of deep purpose and an optimism for the future.
It was in this year I set up my home vegan bakery, Bee Kind Bakery, and started teaching my first yoga classes. Over these last 7 years I have followed this journey which has taken me from working with charities, in the community, with corporations and schools. It’s led me to become a qualified Kids Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist and Baby and Parent Yoga Teacher and to deepen my studies through further trainings in practices such as Yin Yoga and Meditation. And, most recently, it’s led to me to start my Counselling Skills studies.
